BACKGROUND

Anastasia Prosina is a Space Architect, Founder & CEO at Stellar Amenities, a space architecture company with the mission of uplifting space tourist experience and astronaut wellbeing and performance, for a smooth transition to the multiplanetary future.

Before founding her practice, she worked with MIT Media Lab, NASA, Mars Society, and multiple private aerospace companies on designing space habitats and their interiors. As a thought leader on space architecture, she speaks around the globe, with her most recent speaking engagements including SXSW, LA Design Week, Brown University, Mars Society Convention, and New Worlds Conference. Her collaborative paper, co-authored with Ariel Ekblaw (primary author), MIT Media Lab Space Exploration Initiative Director, and Dava Newman, MIT Media Lab Director, won the most prestigious academia award in Space Architecture by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2020.

As a subject matter expert, she is a paper reviewer in the Space Architecture section at ASCEND and the International Conference on Environmental Systems. Anastasia is frequently invited to jury competitions in Space Architecture, Sustainability, and the Future of Cities. Her work has been exhibited, presented, and published at the 70th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), Forbes, Interesting Engineering, LA Design Week, CNN, and others.

Anastasia is a member of the AIAA Space Architecture Technical Committee, Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), and SpaceArchitect.org.

Anastasia holds an MS in Space Architecture from the Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture at the University of Houston and a B.Arch in Urban Planning from Novosibirsk State University of Architecture, Design, and Art, Russia.
