Paula Drozdowska

BACKGROUND

Paula Drozdowska is a space architecture graduate student at the University of Houston, where she studies at the Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture (SICSA). As part of a research team in the NASA MIRO IDEAS² program, she works on the design of inflatable habitable modules and deployable structures for lunar missions, including mission architecture planning and integration with surface mobility systems. She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Poland. During her studies, she worked with the team at Space is More on projects related to space and extreme environments. As a Mission Preparation Lead at the LunAres Research Station, Paula spent over three years coordinating more than 24 analog missions. She was responsible for training analog astronauts in simulated EVA procedures, data collection, experiment performance, and communications, while also supporting missions as part of the Mission Control team. In 2022, she served as the commander of the Perseus lunar analog mission, leading a six-member international crew. She has presented her work at international conferences and space industry events. Beyond research, Paula is passionate about outreach and mentoring, and she actively promotes space architecture among younger generations in both Poland and the United States.
